Battery or Mains Christmas Lights: Which Should You Choose?
Choosing Christmas lights starts with where you want them to go. Battery-operated lights can be convenient for wreaths, table displays and areas away from a socket, while mains-powered lights can suit longer displays near a suitable power supply.
When battery lights make sense
Battery lights are handy when you want to avoid trailing power cables. Check the battery type, lighting modes and timer details before buying. For example, our 200 multicoloured battery LED Christmas lights have a 19.9m lit length and timer.
What about longer displays?
For a larger tree or a longer run, consider the number of LEDs, cable colour and total illuminated length. Our 600 warm white battery timer lights are another option.
Safety and outdoor use
Only use lighting outdoors where the specific product is rated for it. Keep battery compartments and transformers in the locations specified by the manufacturer, and follow the instructions for each set.
